My grandfather, Maurice Westrich, served in the 9th during WWII. I'm trying to find the right contact who can point me in the right direction to find his military records (medals, discharge papers, etc). No one in the family has them. I think his records burned in a 1973 St. Louis warehouse fire, but I'm hoping there are copies.

Can anyone help?

I am trying to find someone who was in the army with my brother Ernest Lessard. He was stationed at Fort Dix sometime between 1947 - 1956. He was in the Korean War.
I think he was in the 9th infantry division.
Would like any information and would really love to have some photos.
Thank you.

UPDATE: Stolen Military May 9th Division 39th Infantry. My Late Father, Cpl. Donald C. Rogers, who served in WWII with 9th Division attached to 39th Headquarters Company in Motorized Recon Unit was awarded Silver Star, Bronze Star, Bronze Star with Oakleafs and 2 Purple Hearts as well as being recognized as one of the Liberators of Dachau Concentration Camp. Before he died he left me a large Original Framed Color Military Map that was stolen from me by family. This item was just located in Morton Illinois. Photo of Original out of frame is on ebay right now and my brother's wife is selling copies of it. Morton Police Department has been Alerted. Terry Lee Rogers, a Mennonite Pastor. I had posted online rewards for original's return in the past and have been looking for this since 2006. Just wanted to update information. The Silver Star my Dad received and gave me is also among items stolen, which has his name on the reverse. Thomas W. Rogers stillwatersranch@hotmail.com

I'm hoping this venue will be able to assist with some details regarding a PFC Grover Earl Jones who was a grandson to the husband of my Great Grandmother. He is buried at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Italy but I am hoping more information can be shed on where he died exactly, how he was killed, what battle. According to some data I got back from ABMC was, he did earn the Purple Heart and what his plot number is at this cemetery, any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
