My father served as a platoon staff sergeant in Company E, 47th Inf Regiment, 9th Inf Division from 1940 at Ft. Bragg until March 28, 1943 when the Company was decimated (either killed or captured) attempting to take Hill 369 at El Guettar in Tunisia. He spent 27 months in Stalag IIIB and Stalag IIIA. I have a photo of the entire Company at Ft. Bragg dated March 26, 1942 and a few other photos from at that time along with his Stalag ID card.

Independent Historian
My father Lem Reese Scogin served in the 9th infantry enlisted 1937. Any one who remembers or family that remembers please let me know. Our family has continued the tradition with my son Dennis Reese Brincefield retiring after 20 years Army. I am a military historian so the traditions are kept. Proud of all who gave and who still gives to our freedom. Thank you

Hello felloe Remagen Bridgehead Division. We would like to extend a invite to you for the 70th Anniversary of this historic battle that places honor on the 9th ID. Please head to www.remagenbridge.com for more info Our morning stone quarry tactical needs hard fighting GI like you. There is no pyro bridge town batte like Remagen in the hobby. We keep it at 125 soldier per side so everyone gets a chance to fight. Plenty of good vendors, field kitchen, excellent camping area like Germany. Come and finally try Remagen, we are far closer then you think. I sent a packet to your commander who wanted to come to Remagen this year instead of another event that you did in August but never heard back Thanks
